Building on its highly regarded reputation as a top university with a solid R&D foundation, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) has achieved yet another remarkable feat in global rankings. According to the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Ranking,(QS Ranking) Subject Rankings 2025, the university has moved up 17 spots to rank #127 in Engineering & Technology.
In four subjects—computer science, mathematics, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering—NUST has achieved a spot among the top 200 universities in the world for the first time, according to the 2025 rankings. In comparison to the previous year, NUST has improved overall in 11 subject areas while holding steady in five others.

NUST currently has at least one subject ranked in each of the five broad subjects after Architecture/Built Environment was ranked for the first time.
