Ban US Travel?
There are speculations on Media and Social Media that President Donald Trump Decided to impose travel ban on several countries including Muslim countries.
As per Reports President Donald Trump is reportedly set to impose a travel ban on people traveling to the US from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Many other countries starting next week.
The issue arose when Trump issued an executive order on January 20 ordering cabinet members to compile a list of nations with "inadequate testing and screening data" that should be subject to full or partial travel restrictions. On his first day in office, Trump pledged to "reinstate the travel ban." During his first term, Trump prohibited travel to a number of nations with a majority of Muslims, a move that the Supreme Court eventually affirmed in 2018. Seven percent of the world's population was impacted by Trump's travel restrictions and prohibitions.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are probably going to be added on the list, according to Reuters. The New York Times claims that a number of nations that Trump targeted during his first term may also be on the list. Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen were on the list.
The thousands of Afghans who have filed for and been granted Special Immigrant Visas after serving in the US military for the 20 years could be impacted by a travel ban on Afghanistan.
Approximately 200,000 Afghans are awaiting approval of their applications for Special Immigrant Visas or resettlement in the United States.
However, it would be wrong to say anything prematurely because no such order has been issued yet and all this could be pure speculation. Imposing travel restrictions is not an easy decision and if Trump decides to do so, there will be many problems for Pakistanis whose visas are in the process.
